Airspeed Instrument pointer doesn't indicate properly.

1. Leak in airspeed instrument. Check for leak in case or static lines.

The plastic tubing that provides dynamic pressure to your airspeed indicator is subject to aging. After 30 years it may become as brittle as dry macaroni and may fracture entirely, resulting in complete loss of airspeed indication.

Weather seems to accelerate the aging. Some have noted the outboard 3 feet or so of tubing was so brittle that it had fractured, while the inboard portion of the entire pitot-static system plumbing was in normal flexible condition. This information was submitted by an owner of a Cessna 182-E (1962)

 2. Obstruction in tube.
