Alternator inoperative - Continental or Prestolite

1. Newly installed alternator inoperative on Continental. Check to see that alternator ground strap (airframe supplied part) has been transferred from the old alternator to the new alternator. Not all alternators use this ground strap, but those that do won't function without it. Replacement alternators don't come with the ground strap installed. You must use the one off the old alternator.
