Decrease in EGT for one cylinder     

1. Intake valve not opening fully.

2. Low compression.

3. Plugged fuel injector nozzle.

4. Spark plug not firing.

5. If none of the above you might also check the dry tappet clearance, and the valve springs for breakage.

6. If all of a sudden the engine is still producing normal power but the single-probe EGT starts running LOW by a couple of hundred degrees, look for a blown exhaust gasket on the side where the probe is.
