Poor synchronization

1. Sludge in governor pilot valve or relieve valve.

 2. Burrs on pilot valve lands.

 3. Backlash in governor control system.

 4. Short control lever making fine adjustments of speed impossible.

 5. Excessive deflection of structure supporting controls when subjected to control or flight loads.

 6. Erroneous reading tachometers.

 7. Sticky pilot valve bearing.

 8. Bent pilot valve.

 9. Excessive internal leakage in governor.
