Sky Ranch TSO hose assemblies are fabricated to
exacting specifications and requirements as approved by the FAA and Stratoflex
under the FAA/TSO system. To fabricate FAA/TSO hose assemblies requires:
-
Quality Materials
-
Trained Workmanship
-
Precision Equipment
-
Quality Control
Quality Materials: Sky Ranch hose assemblies are produced with all
new Stratoflex hose and fittings. All incoming material is monitored for
product conformance using FAA approved procedures. Traceability is maintained
on all parts to assure that genuine Stratoflex parts are used in all hose
assemblies. Testing for conformity includes destructive testing of hoses
at specified intervals.
Trained Workmanship: Sky Ranch is recognized by the FAA
and Stratoflex as being qualified to fabricate TSO approved hose assemblies.
Hose assemblies are assembled by FAA rated technicians who have factory
training.
Precision Equipment: Precise measuring and testing devices
are used at Sky Ranch to assure quality and conformance to technical requirements.
All measuring and testing equipment is calibrated on a scheduled basis.
All hose assemblies are 100% proof tested. At periodic intervals selected
hose assemblies are "blown-up" to verify minimum
burst pressure capability.
Sky Ranch thoroughly tests hose assemblies:
-
Correct parts
-
Proper assembly length
-
Proper twist angle when appropriate
-
Inside assembly inspection
-
Outside assembly inspection
-
Proper identification
-
All rubber aircraft hose assemblies are 100% bulge gauged per mil specification.
-
Correct gap between nut and socket and/or nipple hex and socket
-
Ball gauge inspection for proper I.D.
-
Electrical conductivity
Testing
-
Proof-testing. All hose assemblies are proof-tested generally at twice
maximum operating pressure.
-
Teflon hoses in addition to proof testing are leak tested at 500 psi air
under water.
-
Sampling and periodic control tests
-
Sample control tests are done in conformance with appropriate MIL-specifications
and Stratoflex Assembly Inspection Specifications.
-
Age Control
-
Hose assemblies, at time of receipt by customer may not be older than specified
under MIL-STD-1523 or Stratoflex QC-189
