Dope roping

1. Dopes are relatively viscous materials and are quite sensitive to the temperature. Both the dope and the surface should be the same temperature and the dope should be thinned to brushing consistency. The proper technique for brushing dope is to fill the brush fully, put on the surface, stroke across the work and lift off. One full pass is enough.

2. Too cold. 60 to 65 degrees is minimum temperature to dope. You can always compensate for hot temperatures by using blush retarder but you can't compensate for low temperatures
