Aircraft Maintenance TroubleShoot > Aircraft Turbocharger & Controller

Cessna 401A, 402A 1969

1. Fixed absolute pressure/pressure ratio system.

2. Turbo mounted above crankcase oil level. Scavenged oil return.

3. The fixed absolute pressure controller hydraulically regulates the wastegate opening for all engine. The controller senses deck and ambient pressures and compares them to a referenced absolute pressure. When the ratio of outlet to ambient pressure exceeds a preset proportion, the controller opens the wastegate and lowers turbo output.
